If you are a user of Above & Beyond software from 1Soft, you can easily migrate to TimeTo™, vice versa, or continue to use both programs.
Since TimeTo™ uses a data format compatible with all Above & Beyond versions (versions 98 through to the most current), you can easily migrate from Above & Beyond to TimeTo™ or from TimeTo™ to Above and Beyond software. As well, since the programs each have a unique set of features, with the current version of TimeTo™ you could go back and forth on a daily basis if there happened to be features in each that you wish to use at different times.
Migrating from Above & Beyond to TimeTo
The simplest way to test TimeTo™ with your existing Above & Beyond data is to put the timedata.pak file from Above & Beyond into TimeTo™. However, if you wish to have your entire Above & Beyond data and history migrated to TimeTo™ (including all history, logs, notes, and almost every setting), then instead follow this procedure:
1. Make a copy of your entire Above&Beyond folder
(including subfolders) to a new folder called TimeTo.
You can put the new folder at the root level of drive
C (for instance, c:\TimeTo) or you may prefer to have
it in your Program Files folder (typically folder "c:\Program Files (x86)\TimeTo" though if your operating system is 32-bit Windows 7 or 32-bit Windows Vista or Windows XP or earlier then typically instead "c:\Program Files\TimeTo").
2. Run the TimeTo™ installer and have it install to
the new folder.
3. You can now launch TimeTo™ and have access to all your existing data. If you wish to ever launch Above & Beyond again, launch the a&b.exe file that is now located in your TimeTo™ folder. When ready, consider uninstalling the Above & Beyond folder in order to eliminate the chance that you'll accidentally launch what will now be an older data set after having used the new TimeTo folder to house your current information.
(If you wish to merge TimeTo™ and Above
& Beyond data together,
contact us at timetosupport@davidberman.com and we'll
give you instructions on what is possible).
