[MUSIC PLAYING] There’s a designer I know from England. His name is William Warren. And he’s taken the idea of cradle-to-cradle design to a new extreme, I think.He designed a set of bookshelves. And the idea is that you create this bookshelf for yourself out of wood, but the bookshelf is made up of pieces that, when it comes time to end your life, when you die, and you need a coffin, those same pieces of wood get rearranged and become the coffin you will be buried in.
So he’s truly thought through the idea of designing for a full life cycle of all of the parts. You’re essentially buying your coffin in advance and making full good use of it during your lifetime, and also knowing where you’re going to end up, which is probably the thing too.
