Description
Over the past ten years, David Berman has developed systems that help non-technicians to get the strategic results they deserve through highly effective Web sites. He has coached and facilitated hundreds of managers, designers, and programmers, and his travels have brought him to a dozen countries. Along the way, he has discovered common properties in the sites that succeed and in the people who drive them. In this keynote lecture, David will share with you nuggets of uncommon sense: seven pivotal ideas that will help you get the outcomes you deserve from your Web presence.
“Great presentation!”
– Michael Hughes, Chapter President, CAPS
“Excellent speaker.”
– Kippie Hetzel, Keystone, Erie, Pennsylvania
“Truly enjoyed the presentation… hope you can bring you to Minneapolis!”
– Steven Meyer, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Who Should Attend
This event is valuable for anyone who is not 100% satisfied with their Web presence, no matter how large or how small your organization.
Major Benefits of Attending
- Optimize return on investment for your Web marketing activities.
- Get more done with less effort and resources.
- Have a site structure which maintains itself.
- Get better results out of subcontractors.
- Drive repeat traffic to your site, while enhancing your brand.
What You Will Learn
- 1. Start with a strategic plan.
Can you answer this question: “How will you know when you’ve succeeded?”
2. See it as two projects.
If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
3. Evergreen: fresh, accurate, relevant.
If you cant afford to heat and clean your building, dont add another floor.
4. Plan twice, design once.
Would you ask a writer to draft three versions, then throw out two?
5. Communicate consistently.
Build trust through clarity and consistent repetition.
6. Dont skip steps.
Sign off on a step-by-step, Web-specific process.
7. Test. Test. Test.
More usability and accessibility tests. Less focus tests.
- Network with others like you.
