Move Item

Use the Move Item submenu (from the Balance menu) to change the highlighted item's position in the schedule.

Once an item is inserted into your schedule you may easily move it to a different position on the day it is scheduled or move it to the schedule of a different day, either by dragging and dropping or using keyboard commands.

Using the mouse to move items

Drag and drop the item you wish to move to the item to a different place on the viewed day. If it's a flexible item, it's begin time will adjust automatically based upon its new position. If it's an appointment item, its begin time remains the same.

In multiple day views, you can also drag and drop items from one day to another. Tip: another way to move items to a different day is to highlight the item you wish to move, then right-click on the destination date on the Calendar Window.

Using the keyboard to move items

TimeTo™ includes many commands with which you can rearrange items in your schedule. If it's a flexible item, it's start time will adjust automatically based upon its new position. If it's an appointment item, its Set Start Time remains the same.

Move Earlier In Day (Ctrl+Up): Moves the item before the item immediately earlier to it.

Move Later In Day (Ctrl+Down): Moves the item after the item immediately following it.

Move to Previous Day (Ctrl+Left): Moves the item (and the view) to the previous day. If on a multiple day view, the item moves to the previous day already displayed (not necessarily the next earliest day).

Move to Next Day (Ctrl+Right): Moves the item (and the view) to the following day. If on a multiple day view, the item moves to the next day already displayed (not necessarily the following day).

Move to 7 Days Back (Ctrl+F7): Moves the item (and the view) seven days toward the past.

Move to 7 Days Forward (Ctrl+F8): Moves the item (and the view) seven days into the future.

If your current view is not a date view (for instance, Priority View or Alphabetical View, Projects List or Projects Tree are not viewed by date), then the keyboard commands have no effect. In Month View, the keyboard commands also have no effect.
