Use the Today command (from the Navigate menu, or press Home, or click the Today button on the toolbar) to change the viewed date to the present date.
If your current view is not a date view (for instance, Priority View or Alphabetical View, Projects List or Projects Tree are not viewed by date), choosing Today changes your view to the Day View of today.

the Today command causes the week containing
today to become the first week displayed in the
Month
View.
