Choose the Alphabetical View (from the View menu,
or press Ctrl+A, or click the Alphabetical View
button on the toolbar) to see a list of all undone
items (including both appointments and flexible items),
alphabetically
sorted by each item's title.
The top frame of the Alphabetical View shows the
number of undone items, the current time
of day (including ticking seconds), the current date,
and an asterisk if schedule changes have not yet
been saved. In pro mode, "FILTERS ON " appears
to the right of these other elements if the Filters window
is open, as a reminder that you are only seeing (and
counting) those items which qualify to pass through
the Filters.
Each row in the Alphabetical
View shows one item.
Here is the information which appears for each item (from left to right):
The leftmost column contains the date and day of week upon which the item is presently scheduled. Recurring items show as "recurring", since recurring items have more than one date.
The column preceding the title column contains a black-outlined rectangle filled with the colour indicating the Project the item is assigned to (if the Project is set to "none", the rectangle is white). You can click on the square to view the list of projects and also immediately change the project assignment by clicking on the project name of your choice.
If Show Project Name is checked in Other Settings, and the item has a Project specified in its properties, the item's Project appears next.
The item's title appears in the colour designated for flexible-date items (in pro mode, you can set this in the Colors Settings from the Settings menu). In pro mode, this color may be superceded if the item has been assigned a Label, in which case the item is in the Label color: you can change the Label of the item by right-clicking anywhere on the item's row.
Each item's title is followed by a time in parentheses indicating its planned Duration (for example, "(:20)" for a 20-minute item).
Finally, if the item has a Note, the Note icon appears on the extreme right of the row, and if you click the icon you can view or edit the Note.

Besides the usual scrolling keys, you can jump to the
next item starting with a certain letter by pressing
that alphabet key:
pressing
any
key from a to z selects the next undone item on the
view that begins with that letter. Pressing the letter
again selects the next, possibly wrapping around
to the top of the list.
