Use the Cancel Item command (from the Advanced Timekeeping submenu, or press Ctrl+Shift+F6) if the need to complete an item was cancelled in the real world, however you'd still like to leave a record of it in your schedule.
When you choose the Cancel Item command, TimeTo™ marks the item as Done, with a Duration of zero (unless the item had been Started, in which case the Duration will be the time elapsed so far). The prefix "[Cancelled]" is added to the beginning of the item's Title.
Note: If you have Hide Done Items enabled (in Other Settings or from the View Menu), you won't be able to see the cancelled item (since it is a Done item) even though it is there; you will be able to see it should you disable the Hide Done Items setting again.
Tip: If you'd rather record a failed attempt to complete an item, you may wish to use the Record Failed Attempt command instead.
Tip: In a situation where you've been interrupted and intend to continue with a task immediately after the interruption, you may wish to use the Interrupt command instead.
