Save
You can use the Save command to save an open schedule;
however it's rarely if ever necessary, since TimeTo™ saves
changes to open schedules pretty well every minute, as well as whenever
you exit TimeTo™.
TimeTo™ also automatically maintains many
backup copies of that file, in files called:
- timedata.bak (every minute when there have been changes since the last
minute)
- timedata.BackupLatestLaunch (each time you successfully
launch TimeTo™)
- timedata.BackupRandom1, timedata.BackupRandom2, and
timedata.BackupRandom3 (random hourly backups, based on how active you
are in TimeTo™)
- timedata.BackupDayOfWeek1, timedata.BackupDayOfWeek2,
... timedata.BackupDayOfWeek6, timedata.BackupDayOfWeek7 (final state
for each of the past seven days... 1=Sunday, 2=Monday, etc.)
- in addition, TimeTo™ saves any new items you create that have not yet been backed up at all to a temporary file called ItemsNotYetSaved.txt ...if your computer or TimeTo crashes and there were new items unsaved, then the next time TimeTo launches it will offer you to view a list of such unsaved items.
If you wish to save your schedule in a different
file format or to a different location, use the Save
As command instead.
For information about other files that start with "timedata", such as "timedata.x10", please read the Backup Help topic.
Historical note: at an earlier point in TimeTo's product history, the files mentioned above were
instead called:
- timedata.sav (each time you successfully
launch TimeTo™)
- timedata.hr1,
.hr2, and .hr3 (random hourly backups, based on how active you are in
TimeTo™)
- timedata.da1, .da2, .da3, .da4, .da5, .da6, .da7 (final state for each
of the past seven days... 1=Sunday, 2=Monday, etc.)
Therefore, if you have any such files in your TimeTo folder, you may wish to delete them, as they are very old backups.
