Use the Duplicate Selected Item (from the Edit menu, or press the " key) command to insert a new item or project identical to the highlighted one, from any list of items or projects.
On day or multiple day views, if the selected item is an instance of a recurring item (or an exception instance of a recurring item), TimeTo™ will offer you the choice of inserting a single new item or inserting a new set of recurring items.
On the Priority View, since recurring instances don't appear, duplicates are always of just the one item.
On the Alphabetical View, a recurring item represents the entire set of instances rather than one instance: thus duplicating from that view always results in the insertion of a new set of instances.
If the selected item is a Done item, the new item will be an undone item (to avoid creating an inaccurate history).
Duplicating Item with Notes: Duplicated items and projects maintain a powerful special relationship with each other in that they will share Notes (whether you add the Note before or after duplicating). Even if you change the title after duplication, they will still do so. (Tip: If you prefer, in a given case, to instead have the items or projects have notes that diverge from now onward, choose the Make Exception To Shared Note command, from the File menu of the Note window of the note that you wish to individualize).
Duplicating Projects:
Tip: You can also replicate items by using the Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) commands within any view, however the resulting item has the same title, start
time and duration as the original,
with all other properties as designated in New Item
Preferences.
