Choose the Delete Sample And Lesson Items command to delete all sample items and lesson items.
Sample and lesson items are items whose titles begin with the phrase "[sample]" or "[lesson]" respectively. Items are also considered sample or lesson items if there is additional wording after "sample" or "lesson", for instance "[sample this]" or "[lesson 12]".
Most sample items are recurring items. This command will delete all occurences of them.
Sample items typically appear in your schedule because you chose the option to install them while installing TimeTo™. Lesson items typically appear in your schedule because you chose to load them using the Load TimeTo Tutorial command (from the Help menu).
The main idea behind the Delete Sample And Lesson Items command is thus to allow you to add real items to your schedule, so that your schedule includes both sample items and real items, and then allow you to delete just those sample and tutorial items when you are through with them.
Should you wish to keep some of the sample items and delete the rest, simply remove the "[sample]" or "[lesson]" phrase from the title of those items you wish to spared from deletion by the Delete Sample And Lesson Items command.
[Existing users unfortunately cannot
retroactively load the sample items
into their schedules, however
if you are eager to view the samples,
you can install TimeTo™ into a separate folder
and run that separate TimeTo™ program to experience
the samples. Should you wish to place some of the
sample items
into your real schedule, you can cut and and paste
between the two TimeTo sessions
(the
sample
and your
real
one)
though
unfortunately
recurring properties will be lost during the paste.]
Tip: Once you are done with the samples, you may likely wish to change the user name from "Sample Person" to your own name. To do so, choose User Name Setting from the Settings menu, type your preferred name there and click OK.
Tip: if you would like to temporarily have the samples disappea from your view, use the Filters command, setting the Title field to "+ -sample"... this will show all items except those with "sample" in their title.
Tip: You can create your own sample items
by simply adding "[sample]" to the
beginning of any item's title. This can prove
convenient if you wish to create
a number of test items in your schedule as an experiment
and then wish to be able to delete them all with
one command.
