Day Bounds Settings (pro mode only)

The Day Bounds governs the times of day that flexible items can begin, and also the time range that appears on the 31-Day Navigator. You can still set specific appointments outside the day bounds range you establish here.

Earliest Time of Day for Flexible Items to Begin: Specify when the day begins. If you are using TimeTo™ to organize your entire life, then specify the time you wake up. If you are using TimeTo™ to organize just your work, then specify the time you start your work routine. Items with fluid start times will be scheduled between the begin and end time. You will still be able to schedule items with fixed start times earlier or later than the day bounds you set here. The number of hours in your day for calculating statistics, such as how full your days are, is determined by the day bounds you set here.

Latest Time of Day for Flexible Items to End: Specify when your day ends. If you are a "night owl" (someone who tends to stay up past midnight on a regular basis), you can designate a time that is later than midnight. If you do, then TimeToâ„¢ will go into Midnight Shift mode ,where it "delays" midnight so that you can continue to work past midnight as if the Earth day that just ended is still the current day. TimeTo™ works with a "delayed midnight" that is positioned halfway between your Latest Time Of Day For Flexible Items To End and your Earliest Time Of Day For Flexible Items To Begin.

In Midnight Shift Mode:

For example, if your Latest Time Of Day For Flexible Items To End is 1am and your Earliest Time Of Day For Flexible Items To Begin is 9am, then TimeTo goes into Midnight Shift mode, setting Delayed Midnight halfway between those two times: 5am. Thus, if you have an item due on Monday with no other restrictions on its scheduling, TimeTo™ will potentially schedule it as late as ending 1am Tuesday, even though its deadline is Monday.

Tip: Adjusting your day bounds is a more convenient way of changing the bounds of a number of fluid items. Therefore, if you have things that must be done before you sleep and you sleep every day at 11pm, leave the Latest End Time of those items blank rather than set them to 11pm. This way if you every decide to change your bedtime to 1115pm, you only need to adjust the Latest Time Of Day For Flexible Items To End, rather than having to modify the Latest End Time of many items.

Recurring Item to Appear First on Each Day View: Use this optional feature to choose any recurring item as the item which will appear first on each day's schedule. You would typically choose an item that recurrs daily (such as eating breakfast). If there is no instance of the recurring item on a given day, then it will be as if you had not designated any item to Appear First.

Recurring Item to Appear Last on Each Day View: Use this optional feature to choose any recurring item as the item which will appear last on each day's schedule. You would typically choose an item that recurrs daily (such as "planning tomorrow today"). If there is no instance of the recurring item on a given day, then it will be as if you had not designated any item to Appear Last.
