To permanently move TimeTo™ from one computer to another (or to a different location on the same computer)
all you have to do is copy your entire TimeTo folder (and all its subfolders) from the old location to the new location, since TimeTo™ is entirely self-contained (including your Unlocking Key... it will automatically come along for the ride).
If the computer you are moving is the server for a multiuser installation of TimeTo, then also move the c:\timetos folder and its subfolders to the same location on the new computer.
Tip: After copying TimeTo to the new location, we highly recommend deleting the old TimeTo™, in order to eliminate any chance you will accidentally launch the old TimeTo™ accidentally. This is especially possible if you had your computer set to launch TimeTo upon startup and you don't follow through with the instructions below about TimeTo™ launching every time you start your computer, because it is important to avoid the situation where after copying TimeTo™ to a new location, your computer is wrongly set to still launch the old copy each time you start your computer.
Then, in order to get a TimeTo™ alias on your Start menu and/or desktop, right-drag the TimeTo.exe file from your TimeTo folder to the Start menu and/or desktop.
If you want TimeTo™ to start every time you start your computer, go to Other Settings and uncheck the Start TimeTo When I Start Windows checkbox. Then confirm that the correct one is starting, by restarting your computer, and then after TimeTo launches, check the About TimeTo command from TimeTo's Help menu and look at the "Current schedule file:" line, to confirm that the correct folder location is indeed indicated there.
...or you can run the installer again to achieve the previous two steps, if you find that easier. Running the installer will not overwrite your TimeTo™ schedule file.
Early versions: These instructions will work if you are running a TimeTo™ release dated September 10, 2006 or later. If your TimeTo is earlier than that, then first update to a TimeTo™ release dated September 10, 2006 (or also copy the [TimeTo] section from your c:\windows\win.ini file from the older computer to the new computer).
